I grew up in Singapore, where life used to be simple and easy. I was introduced to the English Language by stern British-trained teachers and quickly fell in love with it. Lazy afternoons spent cradling a book up on a Guava tree made up most of my early life. I loved reading and dreaming about life on the other side of the world. But never did I think I would end up 12,000 miles away from home, smack on the other side of the world.
Transported to America via marriage to an American (yes, dreams do come true), I discovered my second love. I went back to school to get a writing degree.
Words always have a strong hold on me--I love how words can paint pictures with their rich hues and innuances. Not only are they powerful (never know how 26 characters can hold such great power) but they can empower the writer and the reader.
Now, I write for fun and a few pennies. I love every part of it--from researching for an article to the final edition. It may be painstaking but the process is totally fulfilling.
